  • Prepare the Batter

    • Take the required amount of dosa batter.

    • Add an equal quantity of water and mix well to achieve a smooth, pourable consistency.

  • Prepare the Tempering

    • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.

    • Add a pinch of mustard seeds, a teaspoon of urad dal, and a few fresh curry leaves.

    • Once they crackle and turn aromatic, add finely chopped coconut, ginger, and onion.

    • Sauté until golden brown.

  • Mix the Flavors

    • Add the tempered mixture to the diluted dosa batter.

    • Mix thoroughly.

    • Add a little water and salt, if needed, to adjust the consistency and taste.

  • Cook the Dosa

    • Heat the dosa tawa (stone/griddle) until it is dry and hot.

    • Pour 2 ladles of the batter onto the center and gently spread it into a circle.

    • After a few seconds, drizzle oil around the edges.

    • Cook until the bottom is crisp and golden.

    • Flip the dosa and cook the other side briefly.

  • Serve

    • Remove from the tawa and serve hot.

    • Best enjoyed with fresh coconut chutney and a sprinkle of our Idly Powder.
